Feelings and Words

At the end of the day, no ones feelings about you should matter except for your own. You should love yourself. But what does it say about you when you have nothing but negative feelings towards yourself . In the present moment I'm not at ease . Not having answers to the whys the hows the whats can get really frustrating . And now I have nothing else to say. Just writing down the feelings I had just now and I guess my mind is trailing off to something else because I DON'T KNOW what to say . That's my issue with my life right now . The Bus Stop Dialogues

I. A young man at the bus stop turns to me and softly asks "Why aren't you wearing shoes?" He taps the faded leather of his suedo-skin and his eyes smile in a gentle lilt before his mouth does. I tell him that I like to feel the earth breathe. That textures keep my mind alive and ticking like a clock. I tell him that I'm trying to grow roots so my pale limbs can twist into a tree (the way L and I talked about it in therapy). Holding on to a thought has always been... difficult for me. They're so rarely interesting enough to hold my attention for more than a few seconds. Quite often, I'll tune out what someone is saying because something they said sparks a thought which leads to another thought which leads to another thought... This is Me

I hear the voices in my head. The people 'just wanting what is best for me'. So loud, screaming their intentions. They over power what I really want said. Telling me with overpowering exactitude what to be. Leaving me living their made up situations. I will not stand for it anymore! I have my own voice that needs to be heard. I am going to be the one to tell my story. This is me running through the open door. This is me courageously undeterred. This is ME rewriting my name in history.

The Little Mermaid

Many years ago, there was a little mermaid that loved the sea. How happy she was in the water, going splish splash with every movement. She swam from one side to the other without stopping. Her happiness in the water had no comparison. She couldn't wait to be a complete mermaid of the sea. "Marita, it's time to get out!", they'd tell her at night. "No, I want to swim more!" And so they took out the little mermaid, happy as she was in her little ocean, the backyard pool.

She Dances With Fire

She dances with fire, a dragon in tow. Twirling with flames; graceful and slow She dances tonight, in a city of ash. Her feet leaving footprints, where the sand will splash. Quietly mourning, as time goes by; Where once she beheld a home in her eyes... Yet naught but the barest of bones remain, And so she dances, to soothe the pain.

Written during either brunch or lunch on 5/12. This is what happens when no one is around and I get bored. Sorry for spamming everyone's devwatches.
